Duke Nukem Forever has been criticized considerably ever since its notorious development cycle and after its eventual release date. The writing, visuals, puzzles, and jokes did not sit well with many. One level was considered to be particularly heinous, that being ‘The Hive’. Within the alien-made lair, the invaders have abducted and impregnated numerous captive women, including Duke’s latest girlfriends, the Holsom Twins. His response? Make a tasteless joke about the sc
Upon waking up, he finds himself dressed up as a gimp, with the nearby rednecks ready for… something. It’s an incredibly dark scene, though it is played for laughs, as seen by the silly, stereotypical dialogue from said hillbillies. The player will be able to fight their way out of their brewery upon waking up, should they so desire. This was likely inspired by the highly infamous scene from Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction involving the chained-up gimp in the gun s

The undead in particular deal serious melee damage, and walking across certain spots will cause them to teleport in. Worse still are the zombies armed with shotguns, as they fire them rapidly with no need to reload. While they can have their guns knocked out of their hands by being shot, shooting their heads is the only way to kill them. All of this made the 'Mansion' level almost unbearable. For countless players, the amount of cheap jump-scares and sudden ambushes made this level both frightening and frustrating. Playing it on Hard mode is a considerable feat, due to countless zombies abruptly teleporting in with shotguns in-h
If players have enough acquisitions or schematics at their disposal in the pre-
SLG game cheats lobby, elect to take a brain rot or shatter blast ammo mod into the deployment zone. Shatter blast is useful when dealing with shocktroopers and armored grunts , with the blast radius capable of breaking the armor of multiple mercenaries at a time if they are in proximity. Brain rot is incredibly useful when dealing with mercenaries, as turning a zombie to aid in the fight against the Terminus forces can be the damage or distraction players need to easily eliminate all enemies . While there is no way for players to order a zombie to attack the mercenaries explicitly, when fighting the mercenaries defending the extractors, if a straggling zombie wanders over to attack players, if that zombie is turned he will charge the Terminus defense, giving players an opportunity to charge and flank the enemies and gain access to the extrac
If players are having difficulty finding a specific contract, try zooming out and searching in another part of the map - there are occasionally only one or two instances of a specific contract on a deployment. Hovering over the blue indicator will also give players a visual confirmation of the name of a contract. Keep in mind that contracts attempted in higher tier areas will increase in difficulty. In addition to the increased threat of the environment in these areas, it is highly recommended that players get familiar with a contract in the Tier I threat zone prior to attempting them in a higher t
A classic contract from Outbreak and DMZ modes alike, Eliminate Bounty Target contracts will have players hunt down and destroy a high value target nearby in Urzikstan. These HVTs are typically beefed up versions of Manglers, Mimics, or Disciples , having increased health, armor, and damage. Players will want to ensure to grab perks and upgrade their weapon rarity and possibly even Pack-a-Punch before attempting to fight an
The most difficult of the zombie contracts, Defend Ground Station will have players download data from three seismic refractors and transmit the information back to Operation Deadbolt headquarters. Acquiring the data is pretty simple - interact with the seismic refractors to acquire the data. However, once players start sending the information from the radio transmitter, Terminus forces will drop in to attempt to destroy the radio sending the information and eliminate players.
